Welcome to the 2006 Symposium of the Commission on Geographical Education of the International Geographical Union and the International Cartographic Association, Brisbane Australia, to be held Monday June 26th to Sunday July 2nd 2006.
On the evening of Monday June 26th we will welcome delegates with a reception.
Scientific sessions are from Tuesday June 27th to Thursday June 29th 2006.
The field trip will commence on Thursday evening and we will return on Sunday July 2nd 2006.

Field Trip
We have planned a very special field trip for this Symposium to North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.

Unfortunately we haved filled all the available spaces on the Field Trip. If you would still like to go, you can register your interest with the Symposium Secretariat in case there are any cancellations.

Call for Papers
Abstracts are required to be sent to the IGU-CGE 2006 Secretariat in Brisbane by Friday November 25th, 2005 together with your registration for the Symposium.
Final papers must be received by the IGU-CGE 2006 Secretariat in Brisbane by Tuesday January 31st, 2006 to guarantee inclusion in the Refereed Symposium Proceedings.
Registration
1. Symposium Registration and Abstracts required by Friday November 25th, 2005.
2. Early Bird Registration for those not intending to submit a paper required by Tuesday January 31st, 2006.
3. Registrations received after Wednesday February 1st, 2006 will incur a late registration fee of AU$50.00.
4. Requests for Residential College Accommodation with full payment of AU$65 per night required by Tuesday January 31st, 2006.
